Gloria Anderson | Tanzania 

 

Gloria Anderson Mbigili has more than six years of experience in the development sector, where she has focused on projects relating to education development and youth and women's unemployment. Currently, Gloria is the founder and executive director of Tanzania Enlightenment Development Innovations (TEDI), a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of education in Tanzania by bridging the gap between theories and practices that are needed in the 21st century. TEDI's educational programs aim to equip youth with skills such as entrepreneurship, digital literacy, 21st-century job skills, and financial literacy at all levels, from primary schools to higher learning institutions. Gloria holds a Master of Science in Marketing Management from Mzumbe University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Dar es Salaam. Gloria believes that education is the backbone of any economy and that human capacity is a key aspect of economic development. On completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Gloria plans to return to Tanzania and focus on improving the quality of education and empowering youth.
